“Kind and helpful person”: cameraman Igor Chernykh died

Soviet and Russian cameraman, Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR Igor Chernykh, died at the age of 88. He collaborated with such directors as Leonid Gaidai, Yuri Ozerov, Boris Barnet, Semyon Tumanov. Among the operator’s most striking projects are Diamond Hand and Battle for Moscow. Igor Chernykh was one of the first Soviet filmmakers to film on land, in the air, and under water.
