Dear Singers , a new season starts on September 3. Seven artists perform each other's songs and, like Glennis Grace, Davina Michelle and Floor Jansen, hope to score a big hit in previous years. How do we know this year's participants?

Diggy Dex

Diggy Dex made his debut fourteen years ago with his album Stories From The Sofa . The forty-year-old rapper, who was born as Koen Jansen, now has six records to his name. In 2009 he scored his biggest hit to date with Slaap Lekker (Fantastig Toch) , an adaptation of the single Fantastig Toch by the Flemish singer Eva de Roovere. He also made it to the charts with Treur Niet (Ode Aan Het Leven) with JW Roy and Ik Weep Alone At You with Ali B. In addition to his own work, Jansen also regularly writes for other artists, including André Hazes and his Best Singers colleagues Miss Montreal and Suzan & Freek.

Milow

The cast of Beste Zangers is reinforced this year by a Belgian artist. Singer-songwriter Milow, born as Jonathan Vandenbroeck, has also been on the charts in the Netherlands for over ten years. His version of Ayo Technology , a 50 Cent song, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland took the top spot and his own singles like You Don't Know and You and Me (In My Pocket) were also successful. Milow now has seven studio albums to his name and regularly travels abroad for performances. Last year he released another single with Ilse DeLange.

Miss Montreal

Miss Montreal has been an established name in the Dutch music landscape for more than ten years. The band of singer Sanne Hans already had the first hit in 2008 with debut single Just A Flirt . Then followed six albums and hit singles like Wish I Could , Say Heaven Say Hell , Love You Now and A Million Ways . Hans also sang duets with Nielson, Paskal Jakobsen and Marco Borsato, among others. She has been a regular member of the jury of The Voice of Holland and The Voice Kids since 2015 . She has done several club and theater tours through the Netherlands and will release her first Dutch-language album later this year.

Miss Montreal - A Step Back

Stef Bos

Stef Bos is the oldest participant in Best Singers this year . The 59-year-old singer from Veenendaal had his big breakthrough in 1991 when the single Papa became a big hit. The song grew into a true Dutch pop classic and has been in the top 100 of the Radio 2 Top 2000 in recent years. Since 1990, Bos has released a new album every few years. TIME To Go Life is his most recent record and was released earlier this year. This also includes a duet with his Best Singers colleague Diggy Dex. In addition to albums, Bos has also released several books.

Suzan & Freek

Suzan & Freek had been singing and sharing covers for some time when their version of Don't Let Me Down went viral. The Chainsmokers (the artist behind the original) shared the version of the couple from the Achterhoek. In 2018 they released their first self-written single Als Het Avond Is . It became a number 1 hit that has now been listened to more than 50 million times on Spotify. The successor Blue Day and the album Shared By Us were also a success. The pair are currently on the charts with the new single Weg Van Jou . They won several 100% NL Awards and already performed at Vrienden Van Amstel LIVE! .

Tabitha

Tabitha Foen-A-Foe is a 27-year-old R&B singer from Leiden. She worked on an international career in Los Angeles, but decided to try it in Dutch a few years ago. In 2017 she had her first hit with Is Dit Over , a collaboration with Ronnie Flex. She made more songs with him and released the album Found In Lost in 2018 . In 2018, she was in the charts for several weeks with He Is Van Mij , a collaboration with Kris Kross Amsterdam, Maan and Bizzey. Also Moment with Kris Kross Amsterdam Kraantje Daddy was a hit. Earlier this year, Tabitha released a duet with Nielson.

Wulf

Singer-songwriter Wulf, born as Lieuwe Albertsma, already tried it in 2012 at The Voice of Holland , but no seats turned around for him. He broke through four years later when he lent his vocals to the single Summer On You by Lucas & Steve and Sam Feldt. The song became a big hit and gave Wulf the chance to release his own singles. These were also Mind Made Up and All Things Under The Sun successes with millions of streams on Spotify. In 2019 he released his debut album This Is Wulf, which also features the duet Scared Of Love with Best Singers colleague Miss Montreal.
