The Lyon metropolitan area did not wait until July 14 to live a night disturbed by numerous detonations. Since the deconfinement, the inhabitants of several districts of the city, as well as the communes around, denounce strong nuisances ranging from firecrackers to mortar fire. An observation of insecurity which turned into calvary for many Lyonnais, Monday and Tuesday evening, despite the prefectural ban on celebrating on public roads on July 14 with firecrackers and fireworks.

In addition to the many amateur fireworks fired, the damage to the street furniture was multiple, with several dozen (exact balance not communicated for the moment) of burned vehicles. Videos of Internet users showed incivility throughout the night in Rillieux-la-Pape, Villeurbanne, DĂ©cines or in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon, with explosions or even clashes with the police, like in Bron or Lyon 9e.

A petition for "the proclamation of a security emergency" in Lyon

The T1 tram, for example, could not run during part of the evening between Perrache (Lyon 2e) and Debourg (Lyon 7e), due to violence in Confluence, and the windows of a bus were allegedly broken in Rillieux- the Pope.
