It was in 2013 and 2014 that three users uploaded the films Scary movie 5 and Parker on the video sharing site Youtube. Illegal, according to German rights holder Constantin Film, who requested that Youtube disclose users' email addresses and IP numbers. According to the European Copyright Directive, rights holders must be able to obtain personal data in suspected cases of copyright infringement, but then only physical addresses, not e-mail addresses or IP numbers.
