The figures could suggest a slight recovery in the epidemic, but in reality it seems to be a catch-up effect. The Covid-19 has made 26 new deaths since Monday in hospitals, announced Wednesday the Directorate General of Health (DGS) in its daily point. And 65 in the nursing homes, but over a week, these establishments for dependent elderly people have not reported any information for several days. In all, the epidemic has killed 30,120 people in France since the start of the crisis, including 19,579 in hospitals and 10,541 in social and medico-social establishments.

Fewer intensive care patients

The number of patients suffering from a severe form of resuscitation continues to drop, with 10 fewer since Monday, for a total of 482. In total, 6,915 people are currently hospitalized for Covid-19 infection, with 133 new ones. admissions recorded within twenty-four hours. Monday, this figure was still lower: 68 new admissions.
