The actress Victoria Rodríguez Clavijo, widow of the playwright Antonio Buero Vallejo and National Interpretation Award, has died this Wednesday at the age of 88 in Madrid.

The burial will take place at 4.30 pm in the Alcobendas Cemetery of Peace, where you rest the mortal remains of Buero Vallejo, as reported by Europa Press funerary sources.

Born in September 1931, she married Buero Vallejo in 1958, with whom she was married for more than 40 years until the death of the playwright in 2000. They had two children, Carlos and Enrique, who died in a traffic accident in 1986.

Her career is linked to the theater, where she has starred in the great plays written by her husband such as 'Hoy es fiesta' (1956), 'Las Meninas' (1960), 'Aventura en lo gris' (1963), 'La Fundación' ( 1974), 'Judges in the night' (1979), 'The letters face down' (1981) or the replacement of 'History of a ladder' (2003).

National Interpretation Award at the age of 26, he has risen to the stage to work in theatrical productions of big names such as José Zorrilla, Jacinto Benavente, Alfonso Paso or Joaquín Calvo Sotelo and has worked under the orders of directors such as José Tamayo or José Luis Alonso .

Daughter of the actors Manolo Rodríguez and Paquita Clavijo, she began in the world of acting in the 1940s, joining her company in the Valeriano León and Aurora Redondo Company.

He also worked in cinema in films such as 'Ángeles sin cielo' (1957), 'Aquellos tiempo del cuplé' (1958), or 'La hora de los valientes' (1998), by Antonio Mercero, and on television in televised theater spaces like 'School of husbands', 'Hour eleven' and 'An umbrella in the rain'.
