China News Service, Nanjing, July 14 (Yang Yanci) Since entering Meimei, the ultra-long standby Meiyu, which has lasted 36 days, is still unfinished. After eight rounds of "bombing" in rain, the Jiangsu Meteorological Department brought "hope" on the 14th: precipitation in the area south of the Huaihe River has weakened significantly, and it is expected to emerge from the plum on the 20th.

According to the statistics of the water conservancy department of Jiangsu Province, it has been 36 days since the local entry into Meimei, and the province has experienced 8 rounds of rain, which is 98% more than the same period in history, ranking third in history. Among them, 436 mm in Huaibei, 412 mm in JAC, and 436 mm along Jiangsu South, both are at the forefront of the same period in history.

Among them, orange warning for floods in Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River, Shijiu Lake and Taihu Lake; yellow warning for floods in Wuxi section of Qinhuai River and Sunan Canal; blue warning for floods in Jiangsu section of Chuhe River and Suzhou section and Changzhou section of Sunan Canal.

In the Binjiang area of Nanjing, many water-filled walkways were flooded, and the green vegetation along the river flooded to reveal only the canopy. Meiyu, which has long standby time, continues to exert pressure on the water level.

According to the meteorological department, on July 11-13, Jiangsu experienced the eighth heavy precipitation process after entering the plum. Among them, the main rain belts were located along the Huaihe and Huaibei areas on the 11-12. Heavy rains and local heavy rains occurred on the 13th. Due to weakening, moderate to heavy rains and partial heavy rains occurred in the southwest.

But this is not the "end point". It is estimated that on the 14th and 16th, there will be strong precipitation along the river and southern Jiangsu, and local areas will be accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation and thunderstorms. The cumulative rainfall is 60 to 120 mm, and the local area is about 150 mm.

It is worth looking forward that the main rainfall zone will be carried northwards along the Yangtze River and the north of the area from the 17th to the 19th. After the subtropical heights increase from the west to the north, the main rain belt will be located along the Huaihe and Huaibei areas in Jiangsu Province, south of the Huaihe River. Precipitation in the region has weakened significantly, and plums are expected.

At the same time, with the advent of the high temperature in midsummer, Jiangsu will fall into a precarious situation this year. According to Jiang Yifang, chief forecaster of the Jiangsu Meteorological Observatory, with the endless rainy weather coming to an end, high-temperature days are about to strike, Jiangsu will fall on the 16th.
