"We will be ready" in the event of a "resurgence" of the coronavirus epidemic with "stocks and secure supplies", assured President Emmanuel Macron Tuesday during his television interview on July 14.

France has 30,029 deaths linked to Covid-19 recorded since the start of the epidemic on Monday evening, 25 more than on Friday's last assessment, the Directorate General of Health (DGS) announced. Figures that worry the medical world, which has continued, for several days, to call the French to vigilance and respect for barrier gestures, without which a second wave would be possible. And if it happened, what would happen? Would a reconfiguration be possible? Is a shortage of masks possible? Emmanuel Macron answered these questions on Thursday during his July 14 interview.

"Now we know what we consume of masks, respirators, curare, drugs".  "We will be ready. This was prepared under the authority of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Health, with all the relevant ministries and the relevant departments so that we have the right stocks in the right quantity. Because now we are we know exactly how much we consume. It was much more than what was in all the projections, ten times more. So, now we know what we consume of masks, respirators, curare, medicines. And we have both stocks and supplies that are secure, "he said.

"Confinement has  revealed inequalities".  As for the possibility of a reconfiguration, the President was unequivocal: "We took the most radical, hardest measure, which was confinement, and also the most basic, with lots of consequences. Being confined in a house, when you have a garden, it's not the same as being confined in a multi-family apartment. Being confined in a house where there is no Internet, it's not the same as being connected constantly. And so confinement has been an indicator of inequality. I don't want it again for the country and so we are doing everything to avoid a new wave and to have a differentiated approach if it appears, with the masks, the tests. And then, if a new wave arrives, isolate as locally as possible and therefore as quickly as possible. This is why we have to test. "
