Lin Zhengyue introduced that in order to reduce the risk of virus transmission in the community, the SAR government will conduct virus detection for four types of higher-risk groups, including residential care homes, disabled homes and nursing home employees, restaurant employees, taxi drivers and property management personnel.
She said that the SAR government has been working hard to improve testing capabilities in different ways. The public sector’s daily sample testing in August can be increased to 8,000. If necessary, the SAR Government will also directly purchase testing services from local private laboratories.
