China has reported five new cases of coronavirus emerging on the mainland on Monday, compared to eight the previous day, health authorities said.
The National Health Committee said in a statement that all new infections are from abroad. No new deaths were recorded.
China also reported five new patients without symptoms, down from six the previous day.
It added that as of Monday, the number of coronavirus infections on the Chinese mainland stood at 8,3605.
The death toll remained unchanged at 4,634.
