Hollywood star Johnny Depp once again denied on Monday that he had never been violent towards his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, even after being stripped by his former business manager. Johnny Depp is suing the London tabloid The Sun and its publishing company NGN for libel before the London High Court for accusing him of being an abusive husband, which he denies. The 57-year-old actor claims that Amber Heard, 34, filed a case against him during their two years of marriage, which ended in a smashing divorce in 2017, in order to advance his career at his expense.
Asked about 14 alleged incidents of domestic violence
Continuing his testimony at the fifth day of the trial, he assured that he was unable, in March 2015 in Los Angeles, to grab his wife's hair with one hand and to strike her with the other, since he was wearing a plaster with "a little dinosaur". This plaster had been put to him because a tip of his finger had been cut to the bone, according to him by Amber Heard during an argument in Australia where he was filming.
Johnny Depp is questioned on 14 alleged facts of domestic violence during hearings turning to the great unpacking on his addictions and his unbridled lifestyle, with publication of private messages, photos and accusatory testimonies. The actor claimed that it was Amber Heard who attacked him in December 2015 and that he grabbed his arms in an attempt to stop him, an incident in which their foreheads "may have collided".
As proof of his non-violent behavior, he sent a message to him shortly after the actress' father, David Heard, in which he admitted that his daughter had mood problems, like Johnny Depp with drugs and the alcohol. "But I still love you like a father or a brother," wrote David Heard.
