Tests have confirmed that the Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter were infected with the new Coruna virus on Sunday, a day after her father-in-law and most famous Indian movie star, Amitabh Bachchan, and her husband, actor Abhishek, were hospitalized for treatment from Coved-19.
Maharashtra Minister of Health Rajesh Top said in a tweet on Twitter that the tests had confirmed Aishwarya and her eight-year-old daughter.
It was not clear if she was taken to hospital. As Amitabh and Abhishek were transferred yesterday, Saturday, after mild symptoms appeared on them.
Aishwarya, 46, who previously won the Miss World title, has worked in a number of Bollywood and Hollywood films.
