Affected by the continuous heavy rainfall and upstream water superposition, the river levels in many southern provinces have skyrocketed, and the flood control situation is very serious. From 6 o'clock yesterday to 0 o'clock today, there have been four hydrological stations with water levels exceeding the highest record in 1998!

Three hydrological stations in Jiangxi have the highest water level in history

Last night, three hydrological stations in Jiangxi broke through historical extremes, and the water levels are still rising.

█ At 21:00 on July 11, the water level of the Poyang Station of the Rao River in Jiangxi broke through the historical extreme value of 22.61 meters in 1998, reaching 22.65 meters, 16 hours ahead of the forecast.

█ At 21:00 on July 11, the water level of the Kangshan Station in Poyang Lake, Jiangxi exceeded 22.43 meters, the highest recorded historical level in 1998, reaching 22.44 meters.

At 0 o'clock on July 12, the water level of the Xingzi Station in Poyang Lake, Jiangxi exceeded 22.52 meters in 1998 and reached 22.53 meters. This indicates that the water level of the largest freshwater lake in my country has exceeded the historical extreme value since the hydrological record. It is reported that the water level of the Poyang Lake Xingzi station exceeded the historical limit in about a week after the 1:00 warning on the 5th.

At present, the Poyang Lake Basin is facing the most severe flood control situation since 1998. According to the latest statistics from the Jiangxi Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, as of 17:00 on the 11th, torrential rains, floods, waterlogging and other disasters have caused more than 5.21 million people in the Poyang Lake Basin, more than 430,000 people were urgently relocated, and 455 thousand hectares of crops were affected.

In view of the current flood control situation, on July 10, the Hydrology Bureau of the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Commission upgraded and issued a red early warning of floods in the river sections near the mouth of Poyang Lake and the Poyang Lake area.

The Jiangxi Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has upgraded the flood control level II emergency response to level I at 10 o'clock on July 11th. All localities and departments have launched rescue and disaster relief efforts. As of July 10, Jiangxi had invested more than 100,000 manpower in flood relief.

Hubei Fuhe exceeded the highest water level in history! Straight hit the flood gate site

In addition to Jiangxi, Hubei also has a hydrological station where the water level broke through the historical extreme: at 6 o'clock yesterday, the water level of the Yangxinfu River reached 23.7 meters, exceeding the highest historical flood level of 23.69 meters in 1998. At 7 o'clock yesterday, the Fushui Reservoir stopped flooding the Fu River. At 17:30, the local gate has been opened to connect the Fu River and Wanghu Lake for flood diversion to reduce the water level of the Fu River and ease the flood control pressure of the Fu River.

Before the flood diversion, the Fu River was like a “hanging river”, with a water level less than 2 meters from the top of the embankment, the water surface was open, and the flow velocity was slow. The water level of Wanghu Lake is 18.14 meters, the water level of Fuhe River is 23.72 meters, and the drop is more than 5 meters.

After the flood diversion, the water level of Net Lake will rise by 1.5 meters to 19.5 meters, and the water surface will expand from the existing 70,000 mu to about 80,000 mu. The fish ponds separated in the net lake will be washed away, the farmland along the lake will be submerged, and the villages along the lake will also be flooded.

It is reported that the local has prepared a plan for the transfer of surrounding farmers, and it is expected that the affected villagers will be transferred in advance to ensure the safety of the people's lives and property.

Since entering the plum this year, Yangxin County has experienced five rounds of heavy rainfall. Affected by the high water level of the Yangtze River and the flood discharge pressure of the Fushui Reservoir, the flood control situation in the Fuhe River is extremely severe. Yangxin County has upgraded its flood control emergency response from level Ⅱ to level Ⅰ, requiring all localities and units to be on duty 24 hours a day, and go all out to do all the prevention and response work.

Many rivers in the south are still shocked

Heavy rainfall in the south continues, and many rivers in Jiangxi, Hubei, and Guangxi still exceed the alarm level. The water levels of a number of large, medium, and small reservoirs have risen, and flood diversion and discharge are required in accordance with regulations.

This is a photo of the Xinan River flooding in Zhejiang Province recently: the nine-hole full-open torrent set off a violent storm and swept the vegetation on the nearby mountains, resulting in an upright summer on one side, lush vegetation, and the other side withered trees, like a cold winter Sight.
