The announcement stated that after the school's investigation determined that Liu Yuchen's master's degree thesis had been written by others, he decided to revoke Liu Yuchen's master's degree.
The announcement pointed out that Liu Yuchen received a master's degree in engineering from Tianjin University on June 26, 2018. The master's degree thesis titled "Design and Implementation of Environmental Management System Based on J2EE", degree certificate number: 1005632018110690.
According to the school investigation, the fact that Liu Yuchen’s master’s degree thesis is written by others belongs to the provisions of Article 27, paragraph 6 of the Ministry of Education Order No. 40 of the People’s Republic of China, “Measures for the Prevention and Handling of Academic Misconduct in Higher Education” Academic misconduct. According to the relevant regulations, after deliberation and voting on the Degree Evaluation Committee of Tianjin University on July 10, 2020, it was decided to withdraw Liu Yuchen's master's degree (degree certificate number: 1005632018110690) and withdraw the corresponding degree certificate.

On the same day, the Graduate School of Xiamen University published on its official website "Notice on the Investigation and Processing Results of the 2014 Grade Software Engineering Master Lin Li Suspected of Academic Misconduct". The circular stated that the student had academic fraud in buying and selling papers in his master's degree thesis, which constituted academic misconduct. The school decided to revoke his master's degree, withdraw his master's degree thesis, and cancel his master's degree certificate.
According to the report, after investigation and verification by the Academic Style Committee of Xiamen University, it was determined that Lin Li, a master of engineering in the field of software engineering of Xiamen University in 2014, had academic fraud in the writing of his master's degree thesis, which constituted academic misconduct. According to relevant regulations, the Tenth Degree Evaluation Committee of Xiamen University reviewed and voted on July 10 and decided to revoke Lin Li's Xiamen University master's degree, withdraw his master's degree thesis, and cancel his master's degree certificate (No. 1038432018002369).
