Every week Netflix expands its offer with new series and films. This week we see the action film The Old Guard and the refugee drama Stateless .
Actress Cate Blanchett created this series about Australia's strict immigration policy. Refugees and immigrants are required to be dumped in remote reception camps and often wait years in the jungle to find out about their stay. In Stateless , an unstable flight attendant (Yvonne Strahovsky) accidentally ends up in such a detention camp and she gets to know the asylum seekers who stay there.
The series is loosely based on the true story of Cornelia Rau, a German woman who lived in Australia for years. After being arrested for making a confused impression, she was detained in a detention camp for nearly a year for being seen as an unwanted alien.
Turkish Netflix Original The Protector returns for (probably) the last season. Shopkeeper Hakan Demir discovered that he belongs to an ancient order to protect Istanbul from immortal villains. In the third season, his girlfriend Zeynep accidentally becomes one of the immortals and Hakan has to deal with the evil Faysal once and for all. The fate of Istanbul and that of Zeynep are at stake.

When captain Bram (Danny de Munk) finds out that they are playing an anniversary match soon, he tries to get everyone back in the same direction.
All Stars was a big cinema hit in 1997, thanks in part to roles of Thomas Acda, Antonie Kamerling, Peter Paul Muller and Kasper van Kooten. The film had a sequel and a series spin-off; it seems that the football classic is starting a revival soon.
When the world is hit by a dangerous pandemic, almost all women suddenly drop dead. The ladies who are left are suddenly worth their weight in gold: the government captures them and bounty hunters earn gold money when they hand in a woman.
Will (Leslie Odom jr.) Wants to protect his girlfriend Eva (Freida Pinto) at all costs, but his extreme actions make her feel extremely isolated. During an escape attempt, the duo is chased by The Walking Dead star Chandler Riggs.
Step Up: All-In
In the fifth and final Step Up film, all the protagonists from the predecessors compete for a lucrative contract in Las Vegas. Sean (Ryan Guzman) has such a hard time as a professional dancer that he has doubts about his future. A regular show in Vegas is his last straw, but the competition is very strong.
The Old Guard
The immortal Andromache (Charlize Theron) leads a group of immortal mercenaries that have been on every battlefield for centuries. In the 21st century, however, it is not easy to go unnoticed. A pharmaceutical company tries to catch the old guards to steal their DNA, so that the rich of the earth can also live forever.
Besides Theron we also see the Dutch-Tunisian actor Marwan Kenzari ( Aladdin ). There are plans for two more films in this new series: it remains to be seen whether the film is popular enough with regard to Netflix.
