On July 10, Bi Kexin, director of the Import and Export Food Safety Bureau of the General Administration of Customs, said that the Customs carried out surveillance on imported cold chain foods with the new coronavirus. By 24 o'clock yesterday, there were a total of 227,934 samples monitored by the national customs. Among them, on July 3, Dalian Customs found that the new coronavirus nucleic acid was positive from a sample of the inner wall of the container of frozen South American white shrimp produced by Ecuador registration number 24887 and three outer packaging samples of frozen South American white shrimp produced by Ecuador registration number 681. . On the same day, Xiamen Customs tested positive for new coronavirus nucleic acid from two outer packaging samples of frozen South American white shrimp produced under Ecuadorian registration number 654. The frozen body and inner packaging samples of the above-mentioned enterprises were negative for nucleic acid. The positive samples were analyzed by nucleic acid sequence and judged by experts. The results suggest that the container environment and the outer packaging of the products of the three companies in Ecuador are at risk of contamination by the new coronavirus. Experts judged that the result of the detection did not mean that it was contagious, but it reflected that the relevant enterprise food safety management system was not in place. In order to protect the health of consumers, the General Administration of Customs decided to suspend the registration of three Ecuadorian companies in China from now on, suspend the import of products from these three companies, and take measures such as the return and destruction of the temporarily detained goods.
