The 1st Anniversary of the Success of the
Survival of the Continuation of the New Chapter of Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins

After the first anniversary of the successful application of the legacy, there are 5300-4300 years old Liangzhu ancient city ruins, and a new chapter is being written.

This year, they explored Liangzhu in depth

"Liangzhu is a civilization excavated and researched by the four generations of archaeologists. We still know very little about it. Liangzhu archaeology still needs to be deepened." Liu Bin, director of the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, said after the success of Shen Yi , Liangzhu Archaeology is expanding to a deeper and wider range.

After the exploration of the Liangzhu ancient city site area was completed, the exploration work of the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology shifted to the suburban settlements east of the ancient city. Many sites, and the density increased exponentially. At present, they have completed 3.6 million square meters of exploration work in the northeast of the ancient city, and found a total of nearly 100 terraces during the Liangzhu period, while the original investigation found only about 20.

In Leidian Town, Deqing County, Zhejiang Province, Chuming Site Group, the largest jade-making workshop site group in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the Liangzhu Culture Period, has shown true content in recent years. On a hot morning in early summer, Zhu Yefei, a post-90s colleague of Chen Minghui, the director of the Liangzhu Workstation of the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, was working on the Wangjia site site in the ruins. Its excavation area has exceeded 1,000 square meters. The site group here is located in the northeast of Liangzhu ancient city, with a straight line distance of about 18 kilometers, which is considered by experts to belong to the northern end of the hinterland of the ancient city.

Not far south from Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins Park is the newly discovered Beicun ruins in the past two years. "Post-80s" Chen Minghui is organizing manpower to cooperate with the excavation of capital construction.

At present, Liangzhu Archaeology is undertaking important tasks of two major archaeological subjects. On the basis of continuous field archaeological work, it will be carried out in four directions: scientific, international, theoretical and public.
