In the early morning of July 9, heavy rains occurred in the northwest of Nanping, Fujian Province, and severe waterlogging occurred in the urban area. At a timber processing factory in Wuyishan City, firefighters heard crying of babies and infants from the factory and quickly rushed into the factory to search and rescue. A mother and a baby boy just seven days old were found trapped.

Because the maternal had just passed a caesarean section and had difficulty moving, the firefighter quickly put up a stretcher and moved it to a safe place. Facing the crying baby boy in front of him, the firefighter immediately hugged it up and snuggled up in his arms, coaxing the baby boy. It was gratifying that the baby boy stopped crying instantly.
