Affected by the strong rains in the upstream, the water level of Futunxi River in Shaowu City, Fujian Province, rose rapidly. The water level of Hongfeng reached 193.5 at about 18:00 on July 9th, and the super-guaranteed water level was 1.2 meters. In the event of severe waterlogging, the local area quickly completed the transfer, resettlement, and security of all the people in the danger zone. The landscape walkways and platforms along Futun River are fully closed.
As of 8pm on the 9th, the water level has not retreated and rescue is still in progress.
