Analyzing blood with AI To provide a service that predicts disease risk July 9 16:17

A service for investigating disease risk by analyzing proteins in blood using AI = artificial intelligence will begin this fall.

The new service will be started by a new company established by NEC group companies in collaboration with American companies.

According to the company, the concentration of 5000 kinds of proteins can be checked from a few drops of blood and analyzed by AI to know the health condition and the risk of getting a disease in the future.

The objective is to prevent the onset and aggravation of the disease by taking corrective measures suitable for each person based on the results.

Since October, we have been providing medical institutions with services for cardiovascular diseases, and aim to deal with more than 50 diseases by 2023.

We also plan to consider applications such as predicting people at risk of becoming severely infected with the new coronavirus.

Naoto Egawa, president of the new company FornesLife, said at a press conference, "We would like to contribute by adding technological capabilities so that we can spend 100 years in a healthy life."

The field of healthcare is expected to grow in the future, and each company is competing in research and development, such as developing technology that can detect 13 types of cancer at an early stage by blood tests.
