On the night of July 7, a heavy rain hit Nanchang, Jiangxi. Sustained heavy rainfall caused waterlogging in some areas of Nanchang City, and many communities were severely affected by flooding of roads and garages.
At 11:00 that night, in a community located in the Economic Development Zone of Nanchang, the road outside the garage entrance was flooded with waist-deep water. The community that had taken countermeasures early blocked sandbags at the door.
The rain continued, and the property staff did not dare to relax and staged a garage defense battle. They traveled to carry sandbags and set up a second line of defense about 50 meters inside the garage entrance.
On the 8th, the rain continued unabated. In the central area of Honggutan, Nanchang, many road sections had serious water accumulation. Pedestrian travel was blocked. Vehicles and bicycles slowly passed through the accumulated water. Pedestrians rolled up their trousers and waded in water.
