France has registered 32 new Covid-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours in hospitals, bringing the number of deaths since the start of the epidemic to 29,965, the Directorate General of Health (DGS) announced on Wednesday. Tuesday, the death toll was 13 deaths in 24 hours. The number of patients in intensive care continues its decline, with 529 patients with a serious form concerned, 9 less than Tuesday, said the DGS in a press release.

A total of 7,297 people are hospitalized across the country for Covid-19 infection, with 83 new admissions recorded in 24 hours. 71% of intensive care patients are hospitalized in four regions: Ile-de-France, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France and Guyana. In overseas France (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Reunion, Martinique and Mayotte), 211 hospitalizations were noted, including 45 in intensive care.

The virus "continues to circulate on the territory, as shown by the number of new" clusters "(grouped cases)", namely 333 since May 9, "including 5 new, but 207 closed", continues the DGS. The assessment in social and medico-social establishments (Ehpad), currently arrested at 10,476 dead, will be updated on July 15.
