The actor was not stingy with revelations. He explained in particular that his then couple consulted a therapist to help them overcome their problems. According to his statements, relayed by the BBC, the doctor diagnosed Amber Heard as having "a borderline personality disorder, narcissistic and toxic and that she is a sociopath". He added that Amber Heard was a "calculator" and a "sociopath."

The testimony he had given upstream, which is one of the documents in the file, also describes several abuses of which he claims to have been the victim on the part of his ex-wife.

Facing the facts

In 2015, Johnny Depp had to leave the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean in Australia, where he was with Amber Heard, to be operated on. At the time, it had simply been clarified by Disney studios that he was injured outside of filming. This episode corresponds to what Amber Heard described as "three days of physical violence" on the part of Johnny Depp, who, himself, brings another version. He accuses the Aquaman star of having injured his finger by throwing a bottle of vodka on him after having hit him in the face several times.

When Sun's lawyer Sasha Wass conducted the cross-examination, Johnny Depp had to justify his behavior on a video broadcast during the hearing and which had toured the media during their divorce. We see the actor throw many objects across a room and utter insults, visibly intoxicated and very upset. The scene was filmed by Amber Heard secretly on a smartphone. “I was violent with a few closets. Clearly I was not in the best frame of mind, "he replied, before being asked about his addictions.

Johnny Depp revealed that he started taking drugs "with the nerve pills" from his mother "from the age of 11". He describes his relationship to psychotropic drugs as since being "an internal struggle for me in terms of alcohol, drugs and another number of factors in my life".

Other testimonies expected

Amber Heard will also have to testify during this trial. Edward's Silver-Handed Interpreter Filed Complaint Against The Sun And Its Editor-In-Chief Dan Wootton Following An Article In Which He Was Called "Wife Hitter" Based On The Charges Made by Amber Heard.

Johnny Depp told the court again that he never laid hands on a woman. The depositions of two of her ex-companions, Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis, were also brought to the file and the two actresses could also be called to the stand. Winona Ryder was in a relationship for three years - and engaged - with Johnny Depp in the early 1990s. Vanessa Paradis shared 14 years of her life with the actor, who is the father of his two children, Lily-Rose and Jack . The trial is scheduled to last three weeks.
