Léa Salamé and Gilles Bouleau - SIPA

Two journalists were chosen for the July 14 interview with Head of State Emmanuel Macron. According to information from the Parisian on Tuesday, the Elysée has appointed the duo Gilles Bouleau, presenter of the 20 Hours of TF1, and Léa Salamé, host of the political show  Vous  on la France 2, to conduct this interview which marks the return of a presidential tradition that had been suppressed since 2017.

The interview is scheduled around 1:00 pm "to have a maximum audience", indicates a senior executive on a daily basis. It will take place following the Champs-Elysée parade. Emmanuel Macron intends to specify the broad outlines of his policy, two years before the presidential election in 2022.

Jean Castex before the Assembly a few days later

The last interview with the President of the Republic dates back to May 2018. He had bent to exercise to defend his first assessment in front of Jean-Jacques Bourdin (BFMTV / RMC) and Edwy Plenel, live from the Palais de Chaillot.
