Since entering the plum in June, Zhejiang Province has suffered eight consecutive rounds of concentrated rainfall. At 12:00 on July 6, the water level of the Xin'anjiang Hydropower Station in Jiande City, Zhejiang Province reached 106.51 meters, and the over-flood limit water level was 0.01 meters; at 14:00, the water level of the reservoir rose to 106.54 meters. The water level of the reservoir is still rising.

  At 10 o'clock on July 7, the Xin'anjiang Reservoir opened a three-hole floodgate to release floodwater. The floodgate discharge flow was 1500 cubic meters per second, the power generation flow was 1200 cubic meters per second, and the total outflow was 2700 cubic meters per second. More than 200 passengers have been evacuated from 6 hotels along the river; 217 staff members have also been evacuated; scenic spots and facilities along the river have also been evacuated; and ships on the river have also been moved to a safe area.

  The Xin'anjiang Reservoir has opened floodgates 6 times since its establishment and operation in 61 years. This is the seventh time.

  At present, all water projects on the Xin'an River have ceased all activities, and carried out cable reinforcement and transfer work for ships. All other township and township flood control and drought relief headquarters along the route have implemented 24-hour duty in accordance with the level III emergency response, and arranged personnel to carry out patrols along the river embankments, low-lying places, and farmers' houses.
