On July 7, 1940, musician Ringo Starr was born in Liverpool. He began speaking as a teenager, in 1959 he joined the Rory Storm and the Hurricanes collective, and in 1962 became a member of The Beatles. His unique style of drumming has become an integral feature of the legendary four and has had a strong influence on the music of other artists. In 1970, The Beatles broke up, and Ringo Starr began a solo career. He released several albums and put together the Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and also played in a number of films.
