According to the monitoring data of the Hubei Meteorological Bureau, from 8:00 on the 5th to 8:00 on the 6th, a total of 26 counties and cities in the province reached heavy rain and above. Located in the center of heavy rainfall in Wuhan, there are many heavy rains over 100 mm, and some heavy rains.

  From 8:00 on the 5th to 8:00 on the 6th, a total of 26 counties and cities in Hubei reached heavy rain and above. Among them, 15 counties and cities in Huanggang, Wuhan, Qianjiang, Xiantao, Xianning, Jingzhou, Huangshi and other places reached the level of heavy rain. Yingshan ranked first in the list of strong precipitation with 232.8 millimeters. Jiangxia District of Wuhan City closely followed, reaching 226.5 Mm; among the township sites, Honghu Bird's Nest has the largest precipitation, reaching 501.4 mm. Heavy rains of more than 100 mm in some places in Caidian District, Hannan District, Jiangxia District, and downtown areas of Wuhan City, and some particularly heavy rainstorms. The 24-hour rainfall of Wulongquan Station in Jiangxia District reached 435.4 mm, and the maximum hourly rainfall intensity was 88.3 mm.

  Affected by heavy rainfall, on the morning of the 6th, some road sections in Wuhan were exposed to water. At 9:30 in the morning, the reporter saw at the intersection of Hsinchu Road on Minzu Avenue that many cars were stranded in the water and the water level was approaching the door handle. Because of the water and the buses and cars blocking the way, a hundred meters long line was lined up, and there were buses and cars turning back or choosing another road.

  On the sidewalk near the South-Central University for Nationalities, the deepest part of the water flooded the adult's knee. At around 10:30, the rain continued. A warning sign was set up near the intersection of Lingjiashan North Road on Minzu Avenue, and the traffic police maintained order to direct vehicles to detour.

  According to meteorological experts, heavy precipitation in Hubei will continue in the next three days, and some areas will be accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation and thunderstorms. Among them, the precipitation increased from the 7th to the 8th. The main rain belts are located in southwestern Hubei, Jianghan Plain, northeastern Hubei, and southeastern Hubei. The cumulative rainfall is 100-200 mm, and the local area in eastern Hubei may exceed 400 mm.
