From July 5th to 6th, heavy rain fell in Jingde County, Anhui Province, and the river surged. The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Jingde County Committee of the Communist Party of China that Lecheng Bridge, a 400-year-old ancient bridge located in Sanxi Township of the county, was damaged by water and was seriously damaged.

According to the "Jingde County Chronicle", Sanxi Lecheng Bridge and Nanhe Bridge were built in the 22nd year of Ming Jiajing (1543) and were destroyed by floods in the early Qing Dynasty. During the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), everyone raised funds for reconstruction. The existing Lecheng Bridge has 11 holes, a total length of 156 meters, a width of 6.2 meters, and a height of 9 meters from the bridge deck to the river bed. Lecheng Bridge is the second largest ancient bridge in southern Anhui, and was identified as a key cultural relics protection unit in Anhui Province in 2004. In 2019, the bridge was also "injured" in the flood. (Reporter Zhang Qiang editor Gao Yuhui)
