At 19:16 on July 2, the fire rescue station on Bohai Street, Huadian City, Jilin Province received an alarm. A 3-year-old child fell into the deep well after being stumbled. Firefighters immediately brought rescue equipment to the scene for disposal.
The trapped child was located about 6 meters down the well, and the water level did not reach his shoulder. Because the trapped children are young and the diameter of the wellhead is less than 50 cm, rescuers cannot enter the well through the rescue tripod.
On-site emergency deployment of large construction machinery and professional construction personnel for excavation operations, excavation and cleaning of shafts and dismantling of cement pipes section by section. When it was demolished to 2 meters from the trapped child, rescuers found that the child had gradually lost consciousness and the situation was very critical.
The firefighters at the scene immediately used the two canopy breakers, hooked the child's armpit under the premise of ensuring no secondary injury to the trapped child, pulled it out of the wellhead, and sent it to the ambulance.
The rescue lasted more than 2 hours. The trapped children are currently being treated in the hospital.
