An Indian man is putting a muzzle made of gold worth nearly four thousand dollars to prevent the emerging virus, which is widespread in India.
Businessman Shankar Kurhadi from the city of Pune in western India indicated that the muzzle was made of two ounces of gold (60 grams) and it took eight days to complete.
"It is a thin mask and has small pores to help me breathe," Shankar said.
"I don't know if that is enough to prevent corona virus, but I am taking other preventive measures," he added.
The 49-year-old businessman indicated that he loves adorning gold jewelry weighing a kilogram upon leaving the house, which includes necklaces, bracelets, and rings in all the fingers of his right hand.
Kurhadi, who heads a manufacturing company for industrial sheds, explained that the idea of placing a golden muzzle was his concern after following up on a report about a man wearing a silver mask.
"People stop me to take my 'selfies' with me. They stand amazed when I see me putting a golden muzzle on the market."
India has imposed on its residents to place the muzzle in public places in order to contain the outbreak of the new Corona virus, which has infected about 650,000 people in the country and led to the death of more than 18,600.
