“I do not tend to describe the protective home isolation periods as isolation, but rather I call it (Corona retreat).” These words were the summary of the experience of the young citizen researcher, the life of Abdullah Ahmed, during the period of precautionary measures in the country to confront the emerging Corona pandemic, which I embodied in a book I wrote Finally, she talked about what she described as the "art of isolation", and she sought to shed light on "human rapprochement at the time of adversity."
Ahmed, who holds a master’s in educational leadership from Zayed University, confirmed that she learned a lot during the period of domestic isolation witnessed by the state due to the spread of Corona, and transformed isolation from “boring time” into a retreat during which she rearranged her thoughts, noting that she sought to transfer what She concluded with her being alone to people in an attempt to benefit them.
She told «Emirates Today» that «during the retreat of Corona, the mother became more compassionate for her children, the father to preserve his family, the brother clung to his brother, and the friend for the love of his friend, and the student in respect of his teacher, as we learned from isolation the importance of strengthening social ties despite the physical dimension.
Ahmed mentioned in her book that since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, the world has lost its balance, and all the balance of life has been disturbed, and there are no longer any constants that can be measured by one, and the inhabitants of the world have lived abroad in their home countries, where countries have declared emergency, launched calls for relief and precautionary measures, and closed Schools, universities, mosques, factories, airports and places of entertainment, and people stopped shaking hands, hugs, mixing and visiting, and they continued to fortify their defenses, and they started walking with masks, and looked at each other with caution and anxiety.
She affirmed that "Corona" made a rare global unity that was not made by ranting words of peace, and circumventing the negotiating tables, as most of the world's population was busy with some of their wars thinking about the safety of themselves, noting that "Corona" equated the rich and the poor, between the strong and the weak, and between the world The ignorant, as everyone has become associated with the unity of weakness.
She added: "The UAE has not only provided security and safety for its people at all levels, but thanks to its leadership, it has exceeded this stage, and its humanitarian support has exceeded its borders, to include countries and peoples in the East and West, to record history and the world will witness the efforts of the Emirates."
She clarified that, by seeking the opinions of hundreds of her family, friends, and acquaintances, both citizens and residents, she found complete agreement that in the midst of the pandemic, they felt comfortable and calm by simply listening to any of the country's leaders.
She stated: “I observed through Corona’s isolation that this delicate virus demonstrated the pure mineral of man, and taught us to appreciate the blessing of life, to draw close to God, to pray to Him, to yearn for places of worship, to feel the true beauty and longing for a normal life, to coalesce Our souls and our emotions, to reconcile ourselves.
The author concluded that nowadays everyone is seeking his survival from the deadly "Corona" virus by resorting to isolation, explaining that if this isolation saves people from the evil of body infections, it must also protect them from the evil of human beings, which is more severe than body infection, saying “If you succeeded in doing this, you learned the lesson well.”
The researcher transformed isolation from "boring time" into being alone, during which she rearranged her thoughts.
