On July 4, 1930, the Soviet and Armenian actor Frunzik Mkrtchyan was born in Yerevan. He was remembered by the audience for his vivid roles in such comedic films as “The Caucasian Captive, or Shurik's New Adventures” and “Aibolit-66”. The visiting card of the artist was the role of the driver of the Rubik-Jan truck in George Danelia's film Mimino. It is interesting that many phrases of his hero, which eventually became winged, Mkrtchyan invented himself. He also served in the theater for more than 35 years, on the stage of which he played in many classical productions.
