The couple in their early twenties arrested Tuesday on the avenue de la Californie in Nice, appeared before the criminal court in immediate appearance Thursday. They were placed in pre-trial detention until their judgment expected in late July, says Nice-Matin .
Around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, the drunk driver had stamped several cars before being arrested by the municipal police. But the arrest was particularly violent.
"I'm going to kill you"
According to the regional daily, the passenger, also under the influence of alcohol, had shouted against a policewoman: "I am going to kill you, Allah Akbar, dirty traitor", before dropping her. She then struck the officer's head several times against the ground, causing her to lose consciousness and a head injury. She must have been transported to the CHU Pasteur in Nice.
The driver and the passenger were immediately taken to the Auvare barracks and presented to a police officer. Before the national police, the woman was still very agitated and the man would have declared, always according to the regional daily: "Allah Akbar, I will bleed the French".
The city of Nice has decided to file a complaint and has brought a civil action.
