This season, the prime-time access match was notably marked by the progression of "C à vous", on France 5, and "Quotidien" on TMC. With "Do not forget the lyrics", France 2 remains the leader of the 7-20 pm segment.

It is one of the strategic boxes most scrutinized by PAF experts. As every year, prime-time access was the subject of a fierce struggle between the channels, especially at the level of talk shows. And during this season which ends, the duel especially opposed  C to you on France 5 and Quotidien on TMC.

The two shows, which are not quite scheduled at the same time, are the two big winners of the season. The program presented by Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine gained 190,000 viewers on average between last season and this year, and is almost 1.4 million daily viewers on average over the season. This represents 7.4% of audience shares.

The increase is even more significant for Daily . Yann Barthès' program gained 300,000 viewers in one year, reaching 7% audience share, more than a point gained compared to the 2018/2019 season.

Hanouna less fit than its competitors

On the other hand, the results are more mixed for Cyril Hanouna, whose flagship show Touche pas à mon poste lost about 20,000 "fanzouzes" compared to the previous season. But the TPMP season stopped already three months ago, and since then, there has been Tonight at Baba,  that Cyril Hanouna presented from his home, and whose averages were rather around 500,000 viewers. The C show that kif ,launched in early June with the start of deconfinement, did a little better, but still remains very far from the level of TPMP . With all these changes, Cyril Hanouna has cleverly preserved his main brand ... which he will resume in September.

Nagui is wearing France 2

Apart from the talk shows, the real match is on other channels, in particular on the 7-20 pm section, which precedes the evening news, with a competition for three, of which France 2 came out a big winner. The chain remains carried by Nagui and Don't forget the lyrics . With 3.2 million viewers on average, the 19-20 hours of France 2 is in the lead. It's 300,000 people better than last season.

Nagui therefore does better than TF1, whose tranche is mainly carried by the soap opera Tomorrow belongs to us . TF1 ends its season with 2.9 million viewers on average, but the 19/20 front page declined, in particular due to the coronavirus which disrupted the broadcasting of the soap. Finally, on the 3rd step of the podium of 19/20, we find precisely the 19/20 of France 3. The info section ends its season with more than 2.8 million viewers on average, up 200,000 people.
