Bas les pattes, épisode 1. Graphic Studio France Médias Monde

By: Kpénahi Traoré Follow | Simon Decreuze Follow

My name is Kpénahi Traoré. I am a journalist at RFI. I grew up on the African continent, in Ivory Coast. I tell you about my childhood memories and I also share with you my feelings about growing up in a society where girls are educated to be confined to domestic tasks and boys to be future leaders.

Publicity

This difference in education makes the girl the weaker sex and the boy the stronger sex. Standards set in society that this episode addresses. Even if I benefited from all the attention of my parents who spared no effort for me to study I am very grateful to them, my journey is that of a young girl like many others in Africa .
