In statements to the (30/6/2020) series of the "opposite direction" program, he added that the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, France and Russia were defeated in Libya by defeating the retired Major General Khalifa Hifter, who obtained support with money, weapons and aviation from the Emirates, and also received money and religious fatwas from Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, which stood with Haftar and supported him with arms and mercenaries, was also defeated.

He continued that supporters of Haftar are supporters of terrorism and represent the other side of the Islamic State, citing scenes of booby-trapping civilian homes in Tripoli, and affirming that the Libyan people will try Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on charges of killing civilians through raids carried out by Emirati and Egyptian airlines Support for Haftar.

On the other hand, the editor of Al Sharq Tribune, Muhammad Al-Atifi, said that Haftar is part of the February revolution that they call for its restoration today.

He added that the Libyan Al-Wefaq government forces are being defeated, the proof of this is the control of the Russian Wagner forces on the Sharara oil field, and Haftar’s stay in Sirte is a strength proof because it is known that whoever controls Sirte controls all of Libya, indicating that the Libyan army is able to control all Libya, and Haftar may not be able to help him.

He added that the movement of the major powers finally aims to stop the fighting in Libya, and the pressures that some countries put on Haftar were behind his withdrawal from Tripoli to Sirte, and there is no solution in Libya except by dismantling the militias deployed on Libyan soil.
