Recently, the Public Security Bureau of Xinmin City, Shenyang, Liaoning Province detected a rape murder case that occurred 27 years ago, and the criminal suspect Li (male, 56 years old) was arrested by the police.
At about 21:00 on August 30, 1993, a female villager from Fahaniu Township, Xinmin City disappeared after leaving a relative's house on a bicycle. After receiving the report from her husband, the Xinmin City Public Security Bureau immediately launched a net-searching and found the victim's bicycle and body in the paddy field next to the nearby highway at 2 am the next day. According to the forensic identification, the victim was raped and killed. Limited by the technical conditions at that time, the police still failed to grasp valuable clues to solve the case, but the case investigation work has not stopped.
With the development of public security technology, in June 2020, the Xinmin City Public Security Bureau discovered that Limou, a red flag villager in Xinmin City, was suspected of committing a major crime. At about 23:00 on June 16, the police arrested Li in Heishan County, Jinzhou City, based on the clues he had grasped. After trial, Li confessed to the fact that he committed rape and murder on the evening of August 30, 1993.
At present, the criminal suspect Limou has been criminally detained by the Xinmin City Public Security Bureau for the crime of intentional homicide, and the case is being further processed. (Reporter reporter Li Chengze)
