Mulan and Tenet are two of a few films that are intended to lure the audience back to the cinemas after several months of total extinction. Initially, both were scheduled to premiere in mid-July, but the premiere of the films has been postponed on at least two occasions.

The companies want to burn off the financially important premiere weekend before the audiences dare to return to the cinemas and this has led the British chain Cineworld to wait to open, despite Prime Minister Boris Johnson granting permission from July 4, NME writes.

Tenet currently has its premiere on August 17 in the UK and Mulan on August 21.
