The school is finished for the pupils of the elementary school Daste, in the Empalot district in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). The establishment is closed until the start of the school year after two proven cases of coronavirus, one in a student, the other in a technical agent.

Parents were asked to pick up their children as soon as possible on Tuesday, the departmental education authorities said in a statement.

The child who tested positive for Covid-19 tested positive on June 26. Regarding the technical agent, the administration and the town hall were informed on Tuesday. The regional health agency and the school doctor conducted a study to identify contact cases. “As a precaution, they estimated that all of the adults in the school (technical agents, animators, teachers) could have been in contact with the person carrying the virus, specifies the inspection of the academy. They will therefore all be tested and must remain in solitary confinement for fourteen days after the last contact, regardless of the result of the test. ”

National Education recalls that, "within the framework of the protocol in force", the school - which also served as a polling station on Sunday - is disinfected every day. It will be again at the weekend to accommodate the extra-curricular activities of small vacationers.
