[Commentary] On the eve of the two sessions of the National Conference in 2020, Shen Jilan, who was over ninety years old, expressed his concern and expectation on topics such as poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. This also became Shen Jilan's last two national conferences.
On the afternoon of June 28th, Yang Linhua, deputy of the National People's Congress and director of the Department of Hematology of the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, recalled Shen Jilan's acquaintance for more than seven years. Yang Linhua said that on May 20, she and Shen Jilan took the same train and went to Beijing to participate in the two sessions of the country. On the opening day of the meeting, she was specially arranged to sit next to Shen Jilan because she was a medical staff. During the meeting, Shen Jilan will occasionally mark with a pen.

In the middle of the opening ceremony, (Shen Jilan) was very spirited. I felt that the whole process came down, and it was very good to listen to the government work report. After the Prime Minister finished speaking, she also told me that this report is really good today, holding her thumb and saying that the government is not easy. Throughout the morning of the opening ceremony, Shen always attended from beginning to end, so when she started to stand, her legs twitched a little, and we quickly hugged. At this time the staff came and the old man went out in a wheelchair. I really think that she has overcome the extreme limits of her body and came to the two sessions to listen carefully to the government work (report). She has become a great representative. I think that she has really achieved the ultimate. It should be an example of what we really learn.
[Commentary] Talking about the interaction with Shen Jilan, Yang Linhua said that in 2013, for the first time as a representative of the National People's Congress, he went to Beijing to participate in the National People's Congress and the National People's Congress. During his stay in Beijing, Yang Linhua often stayed with Shen Jilan no matter whether he was in the room or eating, or attending various meetings.

She will always say that your doctor is too good, your doctor is too great, this is a sentence she often said.
