This envelope, announced as part of the "Ségur de la santé" launched at the end of May, is clearly below the 7 billion claimed by the unions.

These 300 million would include wage increases targeted at the start and end of the careers of hospital practitioners, as well as a revaluation of several bonuses (commitment of exclusive public service, duty on weekends and public holidays) and additional working time ( overtime for hospital practitioners). So many measures that do not concern interns and medical students, whose situation will be treated separately.
"It is a disappointed hope"
But for medical representatives, "it is a disappointed hope, the disillusionment is enormous," said a union official. Another considers the proposed amount "zero" with regard to the "100,000 doctors, pharmacists, odontologists" concerned. "It is unacceptable," prevails a third, who counts on a "next meeting Thursday morning" with the minister to correct the situation.
"Until then we all call a strike for tomorrow," he adds, referring to the national day of action organized by most unions (CGT, FO, SUD, Unsa) and hospital collectives (Inter -Hospitals, Inter-Emergencies, Inter-Blocks). These organizations believe that the 6 billion euros proposed last week by Olivier Véran to upgrade non-medical personnel are not up to their claims, starting with a general increase of 300 euros net monthly.
