  In the early 1990s, 19-year-old He Zhenzong, a young man in Chaoyang Village, Wuling Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing, needed money to heal because his father was seriously ill. "I really want to go to college, I have good grades, especially love literature, and I dream of being a writer." He Zhenzong told the Worker Daily.

  After wandering on the streets of Shenzhen for more than two months, He Zhenzong, who could not find a job, returned to his hometown. But faced with his father who was seriously ill and lacked money to heal, he went south again to Dongguan, and finally entered a plastic factory after three months.

  The factory is closed and remote, life is boring, and work is hard. He Zhenzong feels, "I want to write something, I want to record myself and the people around me." He began to lay on the iron frame bed to create poetry. The first one was published in Guangdong "Migrant Workers", which became a popular poem at that time. He also became a "star" among the local migrant workers. Since then, He Zhenzong has become more passionate about literary creation, and his poems have been published one after another.

  He Zhenzong said that he was most gratified that his 2005 poem "Monument" not only won the first prize in the poetry category of the "Kunpeng" Literature Award of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. Recitation, and on this basis, submitted 10 proposals on protecting the rights and interests of migrant workers. "I did a little practical work for migrant workers, which is my happiest." He Zhenzong said.

  His "City is also ours-A 18-year History of Migrant Workers in Guangdong" is known as China's first autobiographical novel for migrant workers, condensing the living conditions of 300 million migrant workers in China and describing their mental states . This 260,000-word novel was collected by more than a dozen university libraries and sold out in some places in Guangdong. With his own experience and special feelings for migrant workers, He Zhenzong described both misery and hope in the book.

  In recent years, He Zhenzong returned to his hometown in Chongqing to edit the internal publications of his work unit, but he always paid attention to the theme of migrant workers. "Everyone has dreams, and so are migrant workers. Although life in a big city is difficult, there is hope in dreams." He Zhenzong said.

Legendary poet who is a leader in part-time work literature

  "Life is the source of literary creation." He Zhenzong said that he has been living at the grassroots level. After returning to work in his hometown, his poetry began to pay attention to the rural people in the city, but also to his hometown's humanistic history and long-term culture. The heaviness of history and the new appearance of reality merged in the poems, expressing their love for the Bayu land.

  The rapid changes in his hometown made He Zhenzong feel familiar and unfamiliar, and also brought him countless inspirations. In his creation, he tried to "transform" from the theme of working to the theme of urban and rural areas, and wrote a lot of "urban and rural" theme poems with "My Urban and Rural Geography", which has been published in "Workers Daily", "Star Poetry" and other publications.
