Sino-Singapore Online, June 28 (Zheng Yingying) In order to stabilize the employment of college graduates under the situation of prevention and control of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, and at the same time deliver excellent talents to the grassroots cadre team, the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Municipal Education Commission Fresh graduates of Shanghai colleges and universities carry out special recruitment of community workers. On the 28th, a special recruitment interview for community workers colleges was held in Putuo District, Shanghai.

As of now, there are 52,000 community workers in Shanghai, with an average age of 39 years old. Among all community workers, those with college education or above account for 88.9%.

Jin Lihui, deputy director of the grassroots power construction department of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, introduced that this was the first large-scale special recruitment of community workers for fresh graduates during the epidemic. Shanghai plans to recruit about 1,000 graduates of colleges and universities, hoping that more young people will approach the community work platform. She said that community work is not "mother-in-law", but needs specialization.

This special recruitment attracted nearly 5,500 fresh graduates from more than 100 universities including Fudan University, Tongji University and Shanghai Jiaotong University to apply. Starting on June 8, each district began to organize interviews one after another. It is expected that all recruitment will be completed by mid-August.

Liang Huili, the secretary of the "Beam and Little Beam" studio in Putuo District, Shanghai, and deputy secretary of the Taopu Town Party Committee has worked in the community for more than 20 years. She said that young college students are very energetic and creative, and have advantages in new things in society. But dealing with residents also requires teaching. Liang Huili interviewed 8 students that morning. She said, "The fresh graduates are getting better and better, and all aspects are pretty good."

Community workers are full-time employees of the working age group who are directly engaged in community services and management in public affairs posts in residential areas and streets and towns of Shanghai. In recent years, community workers have played an increasingly important role in key citywide work in Shanghai, such as epidemic prevention and control, garbage classification, comprehensive remediation of the "five violations and four musts" environment, and the creation of civilized urban areas. Shanghai hopes that by encouraging excellent graduates to find employment at the grassroots level, strengthen the strength of community workers in the streets, towns and residential areas, and promote the improvement of the level of construction of the community workers at the grassroots level.
