The film Eurovision song contest: The story of Fire saga is about an Icelandic duo who against all odds may represent Iceland during the Eurovision song contest.
Actor Will Ferrell, who also wrote the script, says he had the idea for the film since the late 90s when he visited Sweden for the first time and saw Charlotte Perrelli (then Nilsson) win the contest on behalf of Sweden in Jerusalem.
