[Explanation] Is there a risk of infection when receiving express delivery? Will mosquito bites transmit new coronavirus in summer? On June 27, Wang Liping, a researcher at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, answered questions about the people's concerns one by one at an outbreak prevention and control press conference in Beijing.

Liping Wang said that generally speaking, if people only contact express for a short time, the chance of being infected is very low.

According to our current knowledge of the transmission route of the whole new coronavirus, it is mainly caused by direct contact with the respiratory tract droplets of the infected person at close range, or because the hand is in contact with the infected person. Infected with our hands, touching our eyes, nose and mouth. Of course, in a relatively closed and closed environment, there may be the possibility of the spread of this aerosol infection when exposed to high concentrations of aerosol for a long time. We now generally believe that the probability of being infected by short-term contact with express delivery is very low.

[Explanation] Wang Liping said that the public should try to receive goods without contact when receiving express delivery, and should develop good hygiene habits such as wearing masks and washing hands frequently to reduce the risk of transmission.

To receive express delivery in areas where the new crown virus spreads, we still try to use this intelligent receiving box to greatly reduce the contact between people. In addition, our citizens, friends and the public should also develop this good hygienic habit to reduce the possibility of being spread by pollutants.

[Commentary] At the meeting, when talking about the arrival of summer, whether the increase of mosquitoes and flies will spread the new coronavirus, Wang Liping said:

Mosquitoes do not have the biological basis for spreading the new coronavirus. In addition, from the epidemiological evidence we currently have, there are no reports of human infection of the new coronavirus due to vector organisms such as mosquitoes and flies.

[Explanation] Wang Liping reminded that although there is no evidence that mosquitoes and flies will transmit the new coronavirus as a vector, they can still cause a variety of infectious diseases, such as malaria, dengue fever, and food poisoning. Therefore, people must do a good job of preventing mosquito bites at home and outdoors, and properly preserve food to avoid flies from crawling and reduce the risk of intestinal diseases.
