A key figure in the Congolese landscape, Alphonse Massamba-Débat has marked the history of the independence of his country. Called to the highest positions following the forced resignation of Fulbert Youlou in 1963, he himself will be forced to leave his post, five years later in favor of Marien Ngouabi. Alphonse Massamba-Débat will be made responsible for the assassination of the latter, condemned and executed on March 25, 1977.
