Ángel Rivero is professor of Political Theory at the Autonomous University of Madrid. His name is not among the intellectuals concerned with putting a pick on the latest fashion discussion. His work is long-winded and associated with the cultivation of the classics of liberalism. In the Alliance publishing house, the works of Alexis de Tocqueville, Isaiah Berlin and Daniel Bell bear their mark. At the end of 2019, his edition of Benjamin Constant's Freedom of the Moderns, one of the capital works of political liberalism, was published on the same stamp.
