Provincial CPPCC Vice Chairman, Secretary of Xishuangbanna State Party Committee Chen Yuhou, Governor Luo Hongjiang, Deputy Governor and Director of the State Public Security Bureau Liu Tinglong and other leaders led the relevant departments to quickly rush to the incident site to organize search and rescue and investigation work.

  As of 12:00 noon, a total of 16 search and rescue vessels, 394 people including police, firefighting, and cadres and the masses were rushed to the scene of the incident to carry out rescue work. After full search and rescue, the 27 people who have fallen into the water have successfully searched and rescued 17 people ashore.   It was learned from the rescued that the 27 former crew members took a speedboat, boarded the boat from the junction of the Lancang River and the Nanban River, and sank about 5 meters from the bank of the Lancang River. At 8:10 in the morning, rescuers found a suspected person who died in a shipwreck accident on the river bank of the Myanmar side of the border monument 243 between China and Myanmar. The identity information is being verified.

  After the accident, the full-service headquarters of the fire rescue detachment quickly dispatched 6 vehicles and 40 people to the scene, and the detachment communication, publicity, and security teams carried relevant equipment along with the police.

  At present, according to the requirements of the state government headquarters, the fire rescue detachment is responsible for searching upstream and downstream on the land along the shipwreck site. The rescue team uses drones, satellite phones, 4G image transmission and other equipment to divide it into two water rescue teams. A comprehensive search and rescue was carried out on the land surface upstream and downstream of the shipwreck site. At present, rescue work is being carried out intensively.
