Production of the second season of  The Witcher  with Henry Cavill is set to resume on August 17 in the United Kingdom.

I'm dusting off my lute and quill,
I have some news, some mead to spill:
After all the months we've been apart
It’s time for production to restart.
The Witcher and his bard - who's flawless,
Will reunite on set 17 August.

"I clean my lute and my quill and I have good news to put you on the parchment: After all these months of absence, it is time for production to resume. The Witcher and his bard, which is perfect, will be reunited on the set on August 17, ”said a tweet posted on the series’s official account. An announcement that will reassure fans of this adaptation which has attracted a large audience since its launch on Netflix at the end of last year.

We will have to wait

Like all productions around the world, the second season of  The Witcher  had to stop because of the pandemic. The shooting had barely started when everything had to be stopped, which means that everything remains to be done. According to Entertainment Weekly, we should not expect to see this new season arriving on screens before the end of 2021.

This will leave plenty of time for those who have not seen the beginning of the heroic fantasy saga to get started. For others, it is always possible to fall back on the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski or else on video games whose reputation is no longer to be done.
