The debate maintained

This recovery should not however prevent the holding on BFMTV and BFM Paris of a debate before the second round of municipal elections between Anne Hidalgo, Rachida Dati and Agnès Buzyn, initially scheduled for Wednesday and postponed because of the social movement at NextradioTV. The debate will start well at 9 p.m., assured BFMTV on its antenna, where one could see journalists of the chain intervening live from the stage of the debate.

A savings plan providing for the elimination of around a third of the workforce

A 24-hour strike was launched on Wednesday within the group to protest against a savings plan providing for the elimination of about 500 jobs, or a third of the workforce. This movement, which disrupted the antennae of the group and led to the postponement of the debate, was suspended pending discussions with management. The strikers notably demand that there be no forced departure.

During a general meeting held Thursday late afternoon, employees voted for the immediate resumption of the movement, until Monday 9:00 am, with 326 votes out of 465 voters. 117 voted for a day of strikes on Sunday and 22 voted to end the strike.
